Daddy is HOME!!!

So, last night Mommy comes home and gets all excited about something, but won't tell me what. She sits here at the computer and keeps looking at one page, but I don't know what it means... it's just a picture to me. Well, after a while she put my collar on (I run around the house naked all the time, by the way) and we went out and got in Daddy's truck. This was strange, because it's just been sitting here all week and she hasn't touched it. So, off we go on a ride. I like the truck because I can ride up front on the nice seat, but it is tough to get into the truck because it's so big. Anyway, so off we go. The ride started to get long (we didn't just go to the store like Daddy usually does) so I settled in for however long it was going to be. We kept driving and driving, and it seemed like we were going around in circles, but hey, I could be wrong. Then, she stopped and rolled the window down. There was a nice man there that talked to her and smiled at me and scratched my head, but then we were moving again and I went to sit down, but Mommy wouldn't let me and kept saying something about Daddy needing a place to sit. Well, she stopped the truck and the back door opened and I smelled Daddy a little, but there were soooo many other smells that I just wasn't sure it was him. Then the back door closed and the front door opened and Daddy got in!!!

So, I'm happy, right? Well, yes and no. He smelled like a LOT of different people on top of the normal Daddy smell, and besides, HE LEFT ME, so I was still a little unsure. We rode all the way home, and I turned towards Mommy and put my head on her lap. When we got home Daddy gave me a treat like he always does when we go for a ride, and the we went outside in the back for a few minutes. When we came in, Daddy called me up on the bed and then that's when I knew it was really him and he was home.

So, why did I wait until the next morning to post? I'm ashamed to admit it, but I wanted to sleep on it just to be sure he was home. When he let me out of my sleeping house this morning and fed me and let me go outside to do my personal things, THAT'S when I knew he was really home for good. So, now that this post is done, I will take up my spot guarding the door to this room while Daddy sits with his back to the door. It's silly that he does that, but I'll guard him so that he can do whatever he does on this computer all day. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some napping to do...
